May 2023 Inspirations – n°1: Gratitude

48 days ago, I started a gratitude ritual.
A friend recommended the book The Magic
by Rhonda Byrne, which includes 28 daily gratitude practices.

This is not my first gratitude ritual. In 2017, when I was going through a difficult phase in my life, a friend advised me to write down 3 things I was grateful for every night. I noticed that this helped me a lot during this difficult period. Some weeks, I wrote in my gratitude notebook in the morning and evening.

I did this continuously for three or four years, and then gradually, other routines became part of my daily routine, and my gratitude ritual became less regular. Until this friend and this book came along.

I started the ritual on 27 March 2023. After a week, I felt its impact on my mood and state of mind. I was more aware of the good things happening to me and the not-so-good things that I could tell myself. It allowed me to redirect some of my thoughts.
After 20 days, the ritual was again firmly anchored in my daily life.

You don’t necessarily need to get the book to start practicing gratitude. You can take a notebook and a pen and write down at least 3 things you are grateful for each day.

A great practice I got from the book was the one on day 2: the magic stone. Every night before you go to bed, hold a crystal or stone of your choice in your hands, remembering a beautiful thing that happened to you during the day and say “Thank you” as you feel the gratitude and joy flow through your body.

I often fall asleep with my stone in my hand and wake up with it.
The book is called Magic, and I felt gratitude brings magic to life.

With Gratitude ✨
